The Simpson Strong-Tie ABU series of adjustable post bases provide a 1" standoff for the post and are slotted for adjustability. The "R" series of post bases are designed exclusively for use with rough cut lumber. The ABU88RZ adjustable post base is approved to be installed with the specified nails, Strong-Drive SD connector screws or specified machine bolts. The Strong-Tie ABU88RZ post base features a Zmax finish for added corrosion resistanceand requires the use of hot-dip galvanized fasteners which meet the specifications of ASTM A153.
