The Strong-Tie ABU series of adjustable post bases provide a 1" standoff for the post and are slotted for adjustability. The "R" series of post bases are designed exclusively for use with rough cut lumber. The ABU44RZ adjustable post base is approved to be installed with the specified nails, Strong-Drive SD connector screws or specified machine bolts. The Strong-Tie ABU44RZ post base features a G185 ZMAX galvanized finish for added corrosion resistance and requires the use of hot-dip galvanized fasteners which meet the specifications of ASTM A153.
